दिए हुए कोण के बराबर कोण बनाना

हमें एक कोण P दिया गया है जिसका माप ज्ञात नहीं है। रूलर और परकार की मदद से हमें दिए गए कोण के बराबर एक कोण की रचना करनी है। रचना के चरण इस प्रकार हैं :

चरण 1 – एक रेखा l खींचिए और उस पर कोई बिन्दु M लीजिए।

चरण 2 – परकार के नुकीले सिरे को बिन्दु P पर रखकर एक चाप बनाईये जो ∠ P की भुजाओं को बिन्दु Q और बिन्दु R पर काटता हो।

चरण 3 – परकार के फैलाव को बिना बदले , उसके नुकीले सिरे को बिन्दु M पर रख कर एक चाप बनाइए जो रेखा l को बिन्दु N पर काटे।

चरण 4 – परकार को लंबाई QR के बराबर खोल कर उसके नुकीले सिरे को N पर रखकर एक चाप खींचिए जो चरण 3 के चाप को बिन्दु O पर काटता है।

चरण 5 – बिन्दु M और बिन्दु O को जोड़ते हुए किरण MO बनाईए । इस प्रकार हमें ∠M प्राप्त होता है। ∠M की माप ∠P के बराबर है। अर्थात ∠NMO = ∠QPR

नीचे दी गयी एपलेट में बिन्दु B या बिन्दु C को माउस की मदद से खींचकर ∠P के अलग-अलग मापों के लिए ∠M की रचना को देखा जा सकता है। साथ ही स्लाईडर STEP की मदद से रचना के चरणों को घटते हुए भी देखा जा सकता है।

Copy an angle on unknown measure

We are given an angle P whose measure is not known to us. We need to construct a copy of the given angle with the help of the ruler and compass. Steps of construction are as follow:

Step 1 – Draw a line l and take a point M on it.

Step 2 – Place the metallic point of the compass at point P and cut an arc which intersects the arms of ∠ P at points Q and R.

Step 3 – Without changing the compass setting, put the metallic point at point M and cut an arc which cuts the line l at point N.

Step 4 – Open the compass equal to length QR and draw an arc with center at N. This arc cuts the arc of step 3 at point O.

Step 5 – Draw a ray by joining points M and O. This way we get ∠ M which is equal in measure to ∠ P. We say that ∠ NMO = ∠ QPR.
